On-farm changes
Wayne Petrie from Orange NSW has committed to several significant practice changes, including implementing grazing rotation, adjusting paddock sizes, and increasing cover cropping. These decisions were influenced by the valuable information and insights he received during the RAMP program. Wayne found the webinar presentation on “Ecosystem Services” by Brian Wehlburg particularly beneficial. Group mentoring was a valuable aspect of the RAMP program for Wayne, though he noted some disappointment when mentees involvement dropped off, reducing the diversity of perspectives and experiences. Despite this, Wayne found the program to be hugely beneficial. He appreciated the opportunity to work with a mentor, expand his contact base, and deepen his knowledge. The program met his expectations by providing valuable information and motivation to continue improving his farm, reinforcing his commitment to regenerative agriculture and equipping him with the tools needed for ongoing development.
